How & Where to Submit Your Sample — U.S. Lab

IMPORTANT: These Shipping and Sample Prep Instructions are specific to the following substances only: 

  • Cannabis Product (Flower, Edibles, Extracts)
  • Mushroom Product (Fruiting Body, Edibles, Extracts)
  • Natural Plant or Cactus Material (DMT, mescaline)
  • Kratom or Kratom-Based Product

For other substances, you should have received another email with a link to a separate instructions page! This address and set of instructions should NOT be used for other substances. 

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR SAMPLE

  1. For most panels, collect the following amount of sample (per test ordered):
    • Biomass (Fungi & Plant) — 2 grams
    • Extracts/Isolates — 0.5 grams
    • Solid Edibles — 6 servings / 1 package (minimum 10 grams)
      • If you are looking to measure the milligram amount per serving, we recommend sending a full package (a full chocolate bar or pack of gummies) with at least 6 servings. If it is a single-serving edible, we need a minimum of 10 grams of the edible. 
    • Liquid Edible & Extracts — 10 mL / 1 package
      • If you are looking to measure the milligram amount per serving or milligram amount per bottle/package, we recommend sending in the full, original bottle, can, or syringe. Otherwise, we need at least 10 mL of liquid, and will provide the mg/mL.
  1. If you ordered one of our “safety” panels (Pesticides, Heavy Metals, Mycotoxins, or Residual Solvents) we require a larger sample. Collect the following amount of sample (per test ordered):
    • Biomass (Fungi & Plant) — 5 grams
    • Extracts/Isolates — 2 grams
    • Solid Edibles — 6 servings / 1 package (minimum 10 grams)
      • If you are looking to measure the milligram amount per serving, we recommend sending a full package (a full chocolate bar or pack of gummies) with at least 6 servings. If it is a single-serving edible, we need a minimum of 10 grams of the edible. 
    • Liquid Edible & Extracts — 30 mL / 1 package
      • If you are looking to measure the milligram amount per serving or milligram amount per bottle/package, we recommend sending in the full, original bottle, can, or syringe. Otherwise, we need at least 30 mL of liquid, and will provide the mg/mL.
  1. Place your sample into a plastic test tube/vial, or sealable baggie. We recommend a vacuum sealed bag if possible. If it is liquid, we recommend sending the bottle/container it was packaged in, or a plastic test tube/vial that is sealed with tape.
  1. Place this baggie, test tube, or bottle into another ziplock baggie. If it is liquid, we recommend double bagging your sample. 
  1. Label your ziplock bag with your Sample ID. 
    1. If you purchased multiple services with different samples, each sample must be labeled with their individual Sample IDs.
  1. Put your labeled ziplock bag with your sample into an envelope or box, preferably a USPS flat rate box, or bubble wrapped envelope to ship. 
  1. Drop your envelope in a mailbox, or take it to the post office (or private courier of your choice) to ship and receive tracking.
    1. We recommend sending your sample with tracking! 
  1. When your package arrives at our laboratory, you will receive an email update. 
  1. When your analysis results are ready, you will receive another email update, and the basic results will be updated on our Results page. No personal information will be included.
